If you’re a member of ESSSuper, you’ve probably heard the term “54/11”. It’s important for you to realise that this resignation option does not work for everyone. An individual analysis is required to ensure if this will actually provide you with a beneficial financial outcome, as this is not a “one-size-fits-all” proposition. Edsuplan Teacher Financial Services are experts in 54/11 strategies, and can work with and advise you if 54/11 is a viable option for you.The term 55+1 has not been around as long as 54/11, and unlike 54/11 is only viable for Principal Class ESSSuper New Scheme members over the age of 55. Also unlike the 54/11 option, the 55+1 option works for all these viable candidates, and these members should therefore consider terminating membership of ESSSuper to significantly improve their retirement outcomes. This is also referred to as “Exempt Officer” Option. For any enquiry relating to 54/11 or 55+1 Please contact us using our 54/11 & 55+1 enquiry form. 54/11 & 55+1 enquiry form. |
